The artist formerly known as Kanye West is shutting down rumors that he penned a bucket list currently making the rounds online under his name.
On Sunday (Dec. 28), a long handwritten checklist was posted by the Instagram account @styleconcept001, featuring what was claimed to be Ye’s personal blend of travel plans, lifestyle ambitions, and creative goals.
The goals listed ranged from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to owning a pug, purchasing homes in Jamaica and New York, visiting iconic sites like the Great Wall of China and Christ the Redeemer, and picking up new skills such as painting — and unexpectedly, pole dancing.
Ye responded to the viral post the next day on his official X account, writing, “That so called bucket list is fake. It’s not my hand writing.”
Even before the 48-year-old rapper weighed in, many commenters were already questioning the list’s authenticity.
While one person pointed out that the handwriting looked similar to what appeared on the Vultures tracklist, another argued the checklist couldn’t be current since it mentioned buying a home in New York.
According to People, the record producer previously owned a condo in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, which he bought in 2004 and sold in 2019.
Another commenter also noted that Ye has already visited Christ the Redeemer, further suggesting the list wasn’t real. As reported by the New York Daily News, Ye visited the iconic Brazilian statue with Kim Kardashian in February 2013.
Although he may not be checking off bucket list goals, Ye was recently seen with his wife, Bianca Censori, in Los Angeles attending a performance of The Nutcracker ballet on Christmas Eve.
A source also told TMZ that the Yeezus artist and Kim Kardashian were able to set aside their differences and spend a “cordial” but unspecified amount of time together over the holidays with their children: North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
