Doechii is wrapping up the year with a fresh release titled “Girl, Get Up,” featuring SZA — and you can check it out above.
The new track drops alongside a music video that finds the TDE rapper dancing, sipping champagne, and rocking a bikini while appearing to be out on a boat. SZA does not make an appearance in the visual.
On the song, Doechii directly addresses claims that she’s an industry plant, rapping: “All that industry plant shit wack / I see it on the blogs, I see you in the chats / ‘You suck every rap n***a dick from the back’ / But what’s the agenda when the It girl Black?”
She keeps the energy going with: “Y’all can’t fathom that I worked this hard / Y’all can’t fathom that I earned this chart / Y’all can’t stand my vibe ‘cuz I’m anointed / All y’all evil ass hoes just annoying.”
Doechii also shared new artwork tied to the release on her Instagram story.
Both artists, who are signed to TDE, have had massive years.
In 2024, Doechii dropped her breakout project Alligator Bites Never Heal, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The project later earned her the Grammy for Best Rap Album earlier this year.
SZA, meanwhile, continues to enjoy the success of her 2022 album SOS, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and held the top spot for 10 non-consecutive weeks. The album returned to No. 1 following the release of its 2024 deluxe edition, Lana.
Both artists also hit the road in 2025. SZA spent much of the year touring, co-headlining Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour from April through December, while Doechii embarked on her five-week Live from the Swamp Tour.
The two previously teamed up on Doechii’s 2022 track “Persuasive,” which appeared on her second EP, She / Her / Black Bitch.
