After four divorces, Jennifer Lopez says she’s officially stepped into her “happy era.”
During the opening night of her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace on Tuesday (Dec. 30), the actress and singer poked fun at her well-documented marriage history.
At one point in the show, Lopez reflected on her first Vegas residency, All I Have, which ran at Planet Hollywood from January 2016 to September 2018.
“That went by in a blink, didn’t it? For those of you who were there on opening night 10 years ago,” the Kiss of the Spider Woman star said in a clip from the night. “At that time, I had only been married twice.”
During Lopez’s earlier Vegas residency, she had technically been married three times — first to Cuban actor Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, then to dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and later to singer Marc Anthony, the father of her twins Max and Emme, from 2004 to 2014.
Her most recent marriage was to actor-director Ben Affleck. The two divorced in 2025, three years after tying the knot. They were initially engaged in the early 2000s before parting ways for nearly 20 years.
“That’s not true. It was only once. Felt like twice. I’m just kidding,” Lopez joked during her residency. “It’s over and we just, boom, and it’s fine. It’s all good. The good news is that I’m learning and I’m growing. We’re in our happy era right now.”
Back in July, one fan even volunteered to become Lopez’s fifth husband, holding up a sign that read, “J Lo, marry me?” during her performance in Bilbao, Spain. The singer laughed it off, replying, “I think I’m done with that. Yeah, I tried that a few times.”
Even after their recent breakup, Lopez appears to be on friendly terms with Affleck. According to E! News, she was spotted holiday shopping last week with the actor’s 13-year-old son, Samuel.
Affleck also served as an executive producer on Spider Woman and was the one who suggested Lopez for the lead role of Ingrid Luna. Lopez publicly thanked him for the recommendation during her appearance on TODAY back in October.
