Teyana Taylor says there’s nothing she loves more than making Beyoncé proud.
On Tuesday (Jan. 13), just days after taking home her first Golden Globe for her role in One Battle After Another, the 35-year-old multi-talented star told Extra about the flowers and handwritten note she received from the Cowboy Carter singer.
“It was just so sweet. Oh my God, I just love her,” she shared with the outlet around the 2:50 mark of the video linked above. “She’s been supporting me since I was 15 years old, and it’s always been very, very consistent. I also love that she’s watching me grow and, you know, watching me blossom and I love making her proud. And I love that she don’t miss a chance to remind me of how proud she is of me, and that means the world to me.”

After her win, Taylor took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of a bouquet of white roses she received from Bey, accompanied by a note that read, “Teyana, I’m so beyond proud of you. You deserve it all and then some. Keep beaming in your power. May God continue to bless you and yours. All my love, B.”
“Love you Bey,” Taylor wrote alongside the post.

She also posted another bouquet she received from Latto, which came with a note that read, “Congrats T! We are so beyond proud of you. You deserve everything coming your way. Love, Latto, Kayla & Rico.”
On Sunday (Jan. 11), Taylor took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as Perifidia Beverly Hills in One Battle After Another, where she starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. The win marked both her first nomination and her first victory.
Her heartfelt acceptance speech quickly went viral, becoming one of the night’s most talked-about moments on social media.
“To my brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight,” she said. “Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space.”
