Desmond Scott says he’s “back in the kitchen” amid the ongoing divorce drama with Kristy Sarah Scott.
In a new Instagram video posted on Sunday (Jan. 18), the professional chef and influencer is shown setting up a kitchen from scratch.
The clip jumps between scenes of Desmond, 32, placing a wooden cutting board, organizing utensils, stacking pots and pans into cabinets, grocery shopping, and later standing quietly as he looks around the finished space, appearing to reflect on where he is in life. The one-minute video is soundtracked by ASAP Rocky’s “Stay Here 4 Life” from his new album, Don’t Be Dumb. You can watch it here.

“Back in the kitchen this week,” he wrote in the caption. He followed up in the comments, adding, “Also, I’ve read every message and yall have no idea how much ya boy love yall .”
Kristy, 30, filed for divorce from Desmond on Dec. 30, alleging infidelity and stating there was no reasonable chance of reconciliation, according to Texas court records obtained by TMZ.
The Scotts, who grew their online brand through family-focused content, home renovations, and prank videos, first met as teenagers, got married in 2014, and share two young sons, Vance and Westin.
After news of the breakup surfaced, Desmond shared an apology on his Instagram Story. While he didn’t directly reference infidelity, he acknowledged that he and Kristy “faced challenges” in their marriage and said he “made sincere efforts to work through them.”
“Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and I had conversations with Kristy regarding this. During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce,” he wrote. “I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. I’m grateful for that support and will continue sharing my love for cooking and the things that inspire me. I hope you’ll continue that journey with me,” Desmond added.
The former couple also co-own a wedding videography company, Meant To Be Films, though what’s next for the business is still uncertain.
Kristy appeared to suggest in her own social media posts that she’ll be staying in the home she once shared with Desmond. In an Instagram carousel posted last Wednesday (Jan. 14), the influencer shared several photos taken around the house — including the kitchen — and captioned the post, “same address.”
Just days before that, Desmond was reportedly seen at a Houston bar kissing a woman later identified as 24-year-old Marissa Springer.
According to TMZ, a source claimed the pair met earlier that night at the bar through a mutual friend. Springer allegedly had no idea about Desmond’s online fame and was said to believe he was single at the time.
