Selena Gomez is making waves online after a clip surfaced of her rapping along to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
The video of the Rare singer popped up on Saturday (Jan. 31), showing her vibing to Dot’s Drake diss track, which dropped during the peak of their feud in mid 2024.
The clip was posted on Instagram by Theresa Mingus, a close friend of Gomez who previously worked as her executive assistant.
The footage appears to have been recorded after an event celebrating the launch of Gomez’s Rare Beauty at Ulta Beauty on Saturday (Jan. 31) in El Segundo, California.
Selena’s moment comes almost a year after Dot dominated the 2025 Grammy Awards. “Not Like Us” swept all five categories it was nominated in, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
What has Selena Gomez said about Drake before?
During a 2013 interview on The TJ Show, a female caller told Selena that her boyfriend calls her his “guilty pleasure” and refers to her as his baby. Selena said she was flattered and joked that she does something similar with Drake, pretending his public moves are directed at her.
When host TJ suggested she could “get someone” like Drake, Selena laughed and replied, “I mean this in the nicest way: I just don’t have a big enough butt for Drake.”
In a 2015 appearance on Billboard’s Pop Shop Podcast, Gomez again showed love to the “Hotline Bling” rapper, saying, “I love him,” while joking that “he has not hit me up.”
After Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber, appeared to lip-sync her name in Drake’s “Popstar” music video in 2020, a source told People that rumors of Gomez making a cameo were false, adding that she was never contacted and had no intention of appearing in the video.
