50 Cent Fires Back at T.I.’s Verzuz Call-Out: “Keep My Name Out Ya Mouth”

50 Cent shut down T.I.’s Verzuz idea in classic fashion—by trolling him on Instagram.

Tip recently stopped by the Nightcap podcast, where he shared that his original plan was to face off against Gucci Mane before the Atlanta rapper went head-to-head with Jeezy in 2020.

The rapper and comedian then floated 50 Cent as a potential opponent, even though he’s also mentioned the possibility of battling Lil Wayne in the past.

“Then I called my man. I said who I wanted. I said I wanted 50,” T.I. said on Nightcap. “He don’t want no smoke, though. I called my man out, he don’t want no smoke. He ducking smoke. It’s cool.”

Fif didn’t let that slide. In a string of recent Instagram posts, he mocked T.I.’s claim that he wouldn’t be able to compete with the Paper Trail rapper. On Friday (Feb. 6), 50 shared a clip of T.I. appearing in a 2010 Atlanta Crime Stoppers commercial.

“I know Atlanta pick and choose who they support, but yall gotta do better. LOL keep my name out ya mouth !” 50 wrote in the caption.

The G-Unit boss didn’t stop there. 50 Cent went a step further, implying T.I. was a snitch after sharing footage of him testifying in 2008. The clip dates back to the aftermath of the fatal shooting of T.I.’s friend and assistant, Philant Johnson, who was killed following a performance in Cincinnati. That same year, Hosea Thomas was charged with manslaughter and later sentenced to 66 years in prison for the murder, according to FOX 19 Cincinnati.

“No, no, i don’t like it No verses let’s do (The stay away challenge ) and stay away from me. LOL,” Fif wrote.

Nearly six years ago, 50 Cent shared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood that the only rapper he would even consider facing in a Verzuz battle was The Game, his former G-Unit affiliate.

“Okay, look. He can’t play no records with my voice on ’em,” Fif joked.
