Sophie Rain showed support for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance on Thursday night, pushing back against the backlash that followed the show.
“Halftime show was great, wish there wasn’t so much hate in this world,” Rain wrote on X to her more than 1 million followers.
The post quickly gained traction, pulling in over half a million views within 24 hours.
Rain’s reaction came as Bad Bunny’s politically charged set sparked divided opinions across social media.
Some users echoed her sentiment in the replies.
“We all wish the same. Kudos to Bad Bunny,” one person commented.
Another added, “Me too… I really wish we could live in a world where people are able to accept each other despite harsh realities.”
Others weren’t as kind, highlighting just how polarizing the performance was.
“Half time show was trash,” one user wrote. “If Bad Bunny sang in Brazil or Puerto Rico it would make more sense to them than us.”
Another joked, “A Sophie Rain halftime show would’ve been more entertaining.”
The 21-year-old has also been making headlines recently for her outspoken criticism of Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback, who revealed he joined Tinder to connect with young women voters. Rain blasted the move as “voter exploitation” and called on Fishback to exit the race.
“This isn’t outreach. This is voter exploitation,” Rain said last week. “‘Young female voters’? You’re not campaigning. You’re praying.”
“Women aren’t props for your outdated family fantasy,” she continued. “We’re not steppingstones for your political ambitions. It’s creepy.”
“I have not heard of this guy until now, and I have lived in Florida all my life. He’s looking for clout,” Rain said last month, adding, “First of all, imposing a tax on OnlyFans girls is quite possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. I already pay my taxes, millions in taxes, actually.”
