Trippie Redd is firing back after KSI labeled him “one of the most frustrating people to work with.”
During the latest episode of his One Question Go series, posted to YouTube on Tuesday (Feb. 10), KSI was asked around the 16:54 mark whether he had ever worked with someone who made him want to walk out mid-filming.
“I’d probably say Trippie Redd,” KSI replied with a laugh. “I’m sure he doesn’t mind me saying that.”
KSI went on to claim that Trippie showed up “like 7 or 8 hours…he was very late” to the set of their 2020 collaboration “Wake Up Call.”
“He came to the shoot, and he just stayed in the car,” KSI explained. “He just stayed in the car, and he was just smoking away, and I was like, ‘Whoa, what are you doing?’ Like, ‘You’re late, and now you’re just taking a piss.’”
According to KSI, it eventually reached a breaking point.
“So, it got to a point where I just was, like, I didn’t want him to be there. But eventually [he] went out, and we did our thing, and that’s that,” he said. “Trippie Redd was one of the most frustrating people to work with, for sure.”
A snippet of KSI’s comments was later shared by Akademiks on Wednesday, prompting a reaction from Trippie in the comment section.
The rapper responded with a GIF of a stunned Macc Danny — known on Instagram as @dannyanene.
Trippie didn’t stop there — he also tagged @dannyanene in the comments, writing, “U gone tell him for me,” alongside a burger emoji, a nod to the creator’s running joke of calling people a “burger” as an insult.
Once he realized Trippie had tagged him, Danny hopped on FaceTime with the rapper during a livestream to talk it out.
During the call, Trippie noted that even if he was “frustrating” on set, he and KSI still reunited four years later for “Thick Of It.” After Trippie mentioned that he gets paid at least $250,000 for a feature, Danny chimed in, “And that n***a just bullshitted on the track.”
Trippie later shared a brief clip on his Instagram Stories, where he appeared to respond directly to the criticism.
“N****s be talking ‘bout I’m hard to work with…You hard to listen to…burger,” he said in the video.
As of now, KSI has yet to issue a response.
