Nick Cannon Confesses He Gifted Multiple Women the Same Present in Valentine’s Day Mishap

Nick Cannon is owning up to a Valentine’s Day slip-up that involved more than one special lady.

During the Friday (February 13) episode of Nick Cannon at Night, the comedian and TV host was jokingly called out by relationship expert Dr. Laura Berman. According to Berman, Cannon had been encouraged to make the women in his life feel appreciated by sending each of them thoughtful, individual gifts — but things didn’t quite go as planned.

“He has his beloved assistant send the same bouquet and he sent the wrong cards,” Berman shared around the 5:30 mark of the show.

Cannon took the lesson in stride, admitting he learned to “never have someone else send your gift.”

He went on to explain just how the mix-up unfolded.

“I had sent the same roses, I had sent the same balloons and I was like, ‘One fits all.’ And they were all fly, filled it up, but then when people post on social media it’s like, ‘Oh, damn, they all got the same shit.’ It looked crazy,” Cannon admitted.

He may have been referring to the mothers of his 12 children, including Bre Tiesi and Abby De La Rosa, both of whom have previously hinted at subtle tension between some of the women.

Determined not to repeat the mistake, Cannon said he tried a more personal approach the following year.

“So I said, ‘I’m not going to do that this year.’ So I thought, having therapy, I was going to write personal letters and cards to each individual about how I love and how important [they are],” he shared.

However, things unraveled again when he hired someone else to deliver the handwritten notes — and they were accidentally sent to the wrong recipients.

“So they read letters about the other person, [which were] personally handwritten by me,” Cannon revealed. “If that ain’t a fucked up romantic comedy!”

According to Cannon, the whole situation completely “backfired,” and it’s a big reason why he now dreads Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile, De La Rosa recently appeared on the podcast Lovers by Shan, where she opened up about sometimes feeling “triggered” when she sees how close Cannon is with the other mothers of his children. Cannon shares three kids with her.

“But he’s created such beautiful family dynamics,” she said. “I just think for women, it’s really hard when you see that the person you were just hugged up on one day is a whole is hugged up in the same way with a whole other person… It’s not easy.”
