Ray J has fans raising eyebrows after his recent Valentine’s Day performance.
The R&B star took the stage at “An Intimate Valentine’s Day Concert” in Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday (Feb. 14), where attendees quickly pointed out a few unsettling details during his set.
In clips making the rounds online, 45-year-old Ray J was seen rocking sunglasses while what looked like a streak of blood ran down his cheek. It’s still unclear whether it was an actual injury or part of the performance.
At one point, Ray J unzipped his jumpsuit, exposing his chest — and fans quickly spotted a medical patch on the upper left side. Some speculated it could be from a recent heart monitor or another cardiac-related device.
Earlier this year, after being hospitalized for pneumonia and heart pain, Ray J revealed he was on eight different medications while dealing with serious heart issues.
According to TMZ, doctors reportedly told him they couldn’t determine how much time he had left due to his condition. He was advised to stay on bed rest and continue medications like Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto — drugs often prescribed to patients at risk of heart failure.
He was also cautioned that a pacemaker or defibrillator might be necessary, though more clarity would come after a follow-up appointment two weeks later.
Ray J admitted he was ordered to stop smoking and drinking, which he said hasn’t been easy. He also opened up about how being under a criminal protective order — which keeps him from seeing his two children with Princess Love — forced him to reflect, saying he “need[s] to change [his] ways of living.”
“If I come out of this, I’ll be stronger and a better person,” he told TMZ last month.
During a recent livestream, Ray J shared that he “almost died” following his latest hospitalization and said his sister Brandy stepped in to help cover his expenses.
