Benzino was reportedly caught up in a heated incident with his child’s mother that allegedly landed him in the hospital and wearing a neck brace.
Blogger Tasha K claims Benzino contacted her from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta on Wednesday night, saying he was in extreme pain. According to her, the 60-year-old said Althea Heart — the mother of his son — tried to pull the child out of school “despite him being the sole custodial parent.”
Tasha K further shared that Benzino told her he “chased them to the car, and during the chaos, Diamond from Love & Hip Hop allegedly struck him with her new vehicle.”
“Benzino just called me from Grady Hospital in Atlanta wearing a neck brace and in extreme pain,” Tasha K posted on X, formerly Twitter. “He alleges that he caught Althea attempting to remove their son from school despite him being the sole custodial parent. He says he chased them to the car, and during the chaos, Diamond from Love & Hip Hop allegedly struck him with her new vehicle. This is an active and developing situation. Prayers up for Zino.”
Benzino also appeared on a livestream with Tasha K, where he went into further detail about his version of events. He said he spotted Althea pulling their son out of school and placing him into a black SUV, prompting him to walk over to the vehicle.
Not long after the story started circulating, Althea and Diamond both spoke out to address the claims. Althea, who says she has primary custody of their son, alleged that Benzino “wants to get hit by a car and only somebody crazy would do all of that.”
Back in December, Benzino’s ex, Althea Heart, accused the rapper and former Source co-owner of being involved in a bisexual relationship with Bobby V. In screenshots of what appears to be a message exchange with Benzino, Heart wrote: “You was actually fucking Bobby v.! Please. I tried to love you. And I have my last to provide as a mother so you feel good about me losing My homes.”
