Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube’s Supergroup Files Fraud Lawsuit Against Merch Company

Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube have taken legal action against a merchandising company, accusing it of fraud.

According to TMZ, after Snoop, Cube, Too $hort, and E-40 formed their supergroup Mount Westmore in 2020, they entered into a licensing agreement with Westside Merchandising. The company allegedly promised to generate major revenue for the group through merchandise sales at retail outlets and during live shows.

In their lawsuit, Snoop and Cube claim Westside failed to provide proper accounting records. When they eventually reviewed the financials, they reportedly saw that $808,000 in merch had been sold at concerts, more than $90,000 in retail stores, and $13,000 online.

Although the group received a sizable advance, they allege Westside still owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars and are seeking unspecified damages.

Westside, however, has fired back with its own lawsuit for breach of contract. In November 2024, the company claimed the rappers had agreed to a deal for Westside to produce merchandise for a 60-date tour. According to court filings, the tour ended up being much shorter, with only a handful of performances. Westside alleges it paid the artists more than $1.3 million, but says they failed to uphold their end of the agreement. That case remains ongoing.

“The countersuit is full of falsehoods and fabrication, and reeks of desperation. The purpose is clearly to distract from their own fraud and contractual breaches, which are outlined very clearly in our own amended complaint,” Westside’s attorney, John Fowler, told TMZ.

“To date, the other side has lost every motion they’ve brought in this case, and they are trying to cover up the mounting losses by filing a frivolous claim. The case is simple: the other side defrauded my client out of over $1.3 million, and caused many millions more in damages for failing to perform the services they promised. The Court has repeatedly denied the other side’s attempts to shield itself from basic discovery, even accusing the opposing lawyers of ‘borderline insubordination’ on the record. We look forward to trying this case.”
