Selena Gomez is making it clear she’s riding for her husband — all the way down to his toes.
On the March 3 episode of Friends Keep Secrets, Gomez popped in unexpectedly and created a moment that quickly stole the spotlight from everything else happening on the podcast.
As Benny Blanco lounged barefoot on the couch during the taping, Selena Gomez leaned down and planted a kiss on his foot — right there on camera.
Blanco looked genuinely surprised. “You like that?” he asked, before Gomez playfully tapped him and said, “Don’t make it a moment.”
He didn’t hide his reaction. “Oh, no. I wasn’t. I liked it. It made me feel good. I love you so much,” Blanco responded.
The affectionate exchange came shortly after Blanco’s podcast debut stirred chatter for very different reasons. In the February 24 premiere episode, he relaxed barefoot on a gray sectional, with the bottoms of his feet clearly visible on camera. Viewers quickly zoomed in, claiming they spotted dirt on his soles and toes.
That episode also featured another candid moment when Blanco joked about what was and wasn’t allowed during filming. “What’s the rule for gas [or] pissing?” he quipped before passing gas near the microphone. “Wait, see if you guys can pick this up? That was just a little one.”
Friends Keep Secrets, co-hosted by Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, aims for a loose, unscripted vibe. Lil Dicky explained in the first episode that he wanted to avoid the typical, “stocky and boring” podcast aesthetic and create something visually and creatively different.
Still, just two weeks in, the show has sparked more buzz over Blanco’s bare feet than its guests or format.
Blanco also opened up about how he handles showing affection toward Gomez publicly. “In interviews with her, because I know she likes to keep it professional, I try not to show too much,” he shared. “She’s such her own entity. I want her to shine and be her own independent [person] so I try so hard… I use every bone in my body not to be googly-eyed over her.”
