Rihanna Perfumes Removed From Shelves Following Concerns Over Potential Fertility Risks

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand has hit an alarming roadblock as several of her perfumes are now being recalled.

The brand is facing a setback after reports surfaced that two of Rihanna’s signature fragrances, Kiss and Riri, are being pulled from shelves at Savers, a budget retail chain operating across the UK and Europe, according to The Mirror.

The fragrances are being removed due to serious health concerns that could impact women and unborn children. Certain batches of the perfumes were found to contain hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde and butylphenyl methylpropional.

In simpler terms, these ingredients are commonly known as Lyral and Lilial.

Lyral was banned after being linked to a high number of allergic reactions, while Lilial was prohibited due to concerns surrounding women’s reproductive health and potential risks to unborn babies. According to Evening Standard, both chemicals were officially banned from cosmetic products across the UK and EU in 2022.

If you happen to have purchased these affected fragrances, the batch codes to look out for are 0608940572252 for Kiss by Rihanna and 0608940560389 for Riri. Both fragrances come in 15ml bottles.

Savers stores are currently offering full refunds to customers who return the products.

“Savers have today (3rd March 2026) issued a recall of the above fragrance lines as some have been found to contain ingredients – hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde and butylphenyl methylpropional which are prohibited from sale in the UK.”

The statement continues, “Customers should return any of the above products purchased at a Savers store to the place of purchase, where they will be issued a full refund.”

The statement concludes, “If you are unsure if you have one of the above products, please speak to our store teams who will be happy to help. Savers would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

On a brighter note, though, the Navy may finally have some new music to look forward to.

A day-in-the-life vlog shared by Rihanna went viral late last month after it showed her making a stop at a recording studio. In the clip, she’s seen writing on paper and dancing around, which immediately got fans buzzing about the possibility of a new musical era.

Of course, it’s been more than a decade since ANTI, her last studio album, so some skepticism remains. Still, it’s enough to keep fans talking and speculating for a while.
