Authorities have identified the woman arrested for allegedly opening fire at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home over the weekend. According to TMZ, the suspect is 35-year-old Ivana Lisette Ortiz, who has been charged with attempted murder. She is currently being held in custody with bail set at $10,225,000.
Police say Ortiz allegedly fired at least seven shots at Rihanna’s property on Sunday. One of the bullets reportedly penetrated a wall of the mansion, while others struck the front gate and an RV parked in the driveway. Authorities say the shots were fired from inside her Tesla using an assault rifle before she attempted to leave the area.
According to the Los Angeles Times, LAPD radio dispatch described the suspect as having braided hair, wearing a cream-colored blouse, and driving a dirty vehicle. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said officers stopped the suspect shortly after and took her into custody.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” Arias said.
It’s still unclear what may have motivated Ivana Lisette Ortiz to allegedly open fire on Rihanna’s home. The singer has not publicly addressed the incident, and it remains unknown whether Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, or their three children were inside the house at the time. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been together since 2020 and share three children. Their first son, RZA, was born in May 2022, followed by their second son, Riot, in August 2023. The couple later welcomed their daughter, Rocki, in September 2025.
The incident comes as Rihanna continues working on her long-awaited ninth studio album, which will be her first full-length project since Anti in 2016. Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky recently returned with his album Don’t Be Dumb earlier this year.
