Joe Budden Isn’t Bothered By Drake & Future’s “ICEMAN” Rumors

“The Joe Budden Podcast” weighed in on the circulating rumors that Drake and Future may be putting their feud behind them, while also discussing the rollout for “ICEMAN.”

Like much of the hip-hop community, The Joe Budden Podcast is waiting on Drake’s upcoming solo album ICEMAN, which still doesn’t have a confirmed release date. However, despite rumors suggesting a Future collaboration could appear on the project as part of a reconciliation, the hosts didn’t seem particularly invested in that angle. During a recent episode featuring Brian “B.Dot” Miller, they suggested the album itself may still be a long way from arriving.

As highlighted by CY Chels on Twitter, Joe Budden made it clear he’s not too concerned about the “Jumpman” duo patching things up, despite claims from figures like Charlamagne Tha God and Mal that the two might be reconciling. His stance echoed the skepticism previously expressed by DJ Akademiks regarding Drake and Future’s current relationship.

Ice shared a similar view. While the hosts acknowledged that a reconciliation could be interesting, he said he isn’t focused on their personal dynamics right now. Instead, Ice prefers to wait for the album to drop and judge the music when it arrives, a sentiment Joe Budden also agreed with.

Overall, the conversation suggested the group is growing weary of the hints and speculation, and would rather see ICEMAN finally released. “With each passing month, I think he’s going to continue to stall n***as,” Budden said, even suggesting the album might not arrive this year.

Joe Budden also speculated that Drake may need to revise a possible J. Cole diss track for the album, estimating there’s an 80 percent chance one could appear. Most of the podcast panel pushed back on that idea—aside from potential subliminal shots—but the possibility remains. Rumors of tension between Drake and J. Cole resurfaced again during the rollout of The Fall-Off.

Still, none of this can truly be confirmed until the album finally drops. For those who might’ve missed it, Drake’s ICEMAN still doesn’t have an official release date, although some fans believe he may have hinted at when it’s coming through a recent teaser on his Instagram Story.

At the end of the day, like much of hip-hop media, The Joe Budden Podcast would rather let the music speak for itself. Any rumors or theories circulating before ICEMAN arrives carry just as much uncertainty, so for now, it’s simply a waiting game.
