Blueface Falls Short in Comeback Boxing Match Against Chibu

Blueface stepped back into the boxing ring this week looking to shake off some rust, but the comeback didn’t go as planned as he ended up taking a surprising loss.

The rapper fought during a boxing event hosted by Adin Ross as part of the “Brand Risk” showcase in Miami. It marked Blueface’s first time back in the ring since 2023, when he secured a knockout victory over influencer boxer Ed Matthews.

Going into the fight, Blueface was expected to have a relatively easy tune-up bout ahead of his scheduled May 2 matchup with former NBA champion Nick Young. But his opponent, a little-known fighter named Chibu, had other ideas.

Blueface had reportedly put on noticeable weight during his time in prison after serving a sentence tied to a probation violation connected to a 2021 battery case. The rapper previously fought at around 157 pounds but entered this bout looking significantly heavier.

Even with the added weight, Blueface showed glimpses of the technical boxing skills that earned him a reputation as one of the more capable names in influencer boxing. Still, Chibu’s size and punching power eventually swung the momentum in his favor.

During the second round, Chibu backed Blueface into the ropes and fired off a flurry of body shots. The intensity of the exchange forced the rapper out of the ring, although the referee did not officially count it as a knockdown.

From that moment on, the momentum seemed to shift toward Chibu. Blueface kept trading punches, but the underdog stayed on the attack and landed several solid combinations in the final round that nearly pushed the referee to step in.

Once the fight went to the judges’ scorecards, Chibu earned the win on all three cards, marking the biggest victory of his boxing career.
