Cardi B and Offset may be heading toward divorce, but she’s still showing concern for her ex during a frightening moment.
Their breakup hasn’t exactly been smooth, but Cardi reportedly put everything aside when Offset needed support. According to sources, the former Migos rapper was hospitalized in Florida following a shooting, and Cardi—who shares four kids with him—reached out to check on him.
What exactly was said between them hasn’t been revealed, leaving fans to speculate. Despite being busy wrapping up her Little Miss Drama Tour, Cardi still made time to reach out during the situation.
The incident went down on Monday, April 6—just about a day before Cardi B was set to hit the stage in Philadelphia. It’s not clear exactly when she reached out, but either way, it’s good to see there’s still some level of support between them.
For a quick recap, the Bronx native and Offset, who reps Atlanta, have been separated since 2024, with their divorce still unresolved.
Circling back to the shooting, Offset thankfully didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries and is said to be in stable condition. The incident reportedly happened outside the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The situation gained even more attention when Lil Tjay was arrested in connection to the case. Early reports suggested that the rapper had both shot Offset and was injured himself, but his attorney, Dawn M. Florio, quickly shut that down.
She stated, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
Things escalated further after his misdemeanor arrest, with Lil Tjay going off on the “Bodies” rapper and accusing him of being a rat. “The last thing I seen was Offset looking at me like this: ‘Yo, that n**** shot me, that n**** shot me.’ N**** is a rat. I didn’t do no damn fighting. ‘Did I shoot Offset?’ That sht is crazy. I would smack the sht out of Offset. He would never play with me like that in his life. Ask Offset.”
