DJ Khaled has already kicked off the rollout for his upcoming album Aalam Of God with its lead single, “One Of Them,” featuring Lil Baby and Future.
Just over a year ago, Khaled ran into an unexpected setback during the album’s rollout when it was revealed that Drake hadn’t cleared two of his features that were being teased for the project. Now, though, the Palestinian-American hitmaker is back on track and ready to finally deliver Aalam Of God.
According to a reveal spotted by Kurrco on Twitter, the album is set to drop on July 17. While there’s still some time before it arrives, the backstory alone has fans eager to see what the final tracklist will look like. So far, “One Of Them” is the first taste of what’s to come.
Based on Khaled’s track record, listeners are expecting another star-packed, expansive, and genre-blending project. The big question now is whether Drake will actually show up—possibly more than once.
The title “Aalam,” derived from Arabic, translates to “world” or “universe,” hinting at a wide-ranging and ambitious sound for the album. Now it’s just a matter of whether it lands as one of DJ Khaled’s standout releases or not.
“One Of Them” already has fans locked in, thanks to fiery verses from Lil Baby and Future laid over a dramatic, piano-driven trap beat. It may not break new ground, but for listeners who enjoy that sound, Aalam Of God looks like it’s right up their alley.
That said, the album rollout has also sparked plenty of jokes—especially surrounding Drake. Recently, DJ Khaled addressed how he stays neutral when it comes to Drake’s ongoing tensions, given his close ties with both Rick Ross and Future. “I’m the one out of the crew that always says ‘Yo, we don’t need that,’” he explained. “We need to come together, we need love… At the same time, we don’t wanna slow up the money. I love Drake, I love Ross, I love Future… Those are my brothers, you can’t question my friendships.”
Still, Khaled isn’t completely free of drama. He recently caught a direct call-out from T-Pain over claims of disloyalty. Now, fans are left wondering if Aalam Of God might end up bringing everyone back on the same page.
