Since his fallout with Young Thug and the YSL crew following the controversial RICO case, Gunna has largely stayed low-key. He’s been focused on his mental and physical well-being while also pouring that same energy into the people around him.
The shift hasn’t gone unnoticed, with many seeing a new side of the Georgia rapper as he continues to evolve. He put that on display again by gifting his manager, Ebonie Ward, and his friends brand-new vehicles.
In a clip shared by Kurrco, the “sakpase” artist is seen presenting Ebonie with a sleek Ferrari Purosangue—one of the brand’s newest models and its first-ever SUV. He opted for a bold black finish, complete with yellow brake calipers and a black-and-white interior to match.
It’s not clear exactly which cars Gunna picked out for his friends, but it’s safe to assume he didn’t hold back there either. As the moment unfolds, the woman behind the camera can be heard showing him love.
“I have been saying since day one that he was the one… I ride for this one,” she says. She then adds, “I love you and this the new Michael Jackson.”
Gunna couldn’t hide his smile, clearly taking in all the love and praise. While some people in the comments weren’t feeling the Michael Jackson comparison, it’s no surprise his circle is going to ride for him and show that kind of support.
At the end of the day, the bigger takeaway is that Gunna is giving back and sharing his success with the people who’ve been there for him.
In other Gunna updates, the hitmaker recently hinted at new music on the way. Last week, the 32-year-old asked his Instagram followers if he should drop something “next week”—which would be this week. There was still a window for that to happen, but it seems like he may have meant by Friday, April 10 at the latest.
Whether he was teasing a single or a full project wasn’t clear, but fans were definitely ready for new music. As of now, though, it doesn’t look like anything is dropping this week. Still, with only one more world tour stop lined up in July in Portugal, he might have the space to release something sooner rather than later.
It’s also worth remembering that the post went up on April Fool’s Day (April 1), so it’s probably best not to get too carried away just yet.
