Offset spoke out after recovering from the shooting, addressing rumors that he had returned to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Lately, Offset has been at the center of gambling-related speculation, with claims suggesting he’s dealing with addiction and owes money to various people and organizations. These rumors were also tied to the alleged altercation with Lil Tjay at the Florida casino, where the shooting took place—though Tjay has denied any involvement. The situation has since fueled more chatter online, including commentary from Tasha K and other social media pages.
Over the past day, several accounts claimed Offset had returned to the casino after being discharged from the hospital. He first shared a message following the incident, saying, “Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good….but I’m planning to be better! I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music. Realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…. Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win. $ET.”
However, he quickly shut down the new claims, calling out the use of old footage. Responding under a post about the situation, Offset wrote, “Old video stop [before] that letter come next.” He also reportedly added, “All pages with fake old videos to make new getting sued” and “Disappointed yal ain’t did ya research.”
Following the frightening incident, Offset’s team also shared an update alongside his statement. “Offset has been released from the hospital and he is up and walking,” a spokesperson said. “We’re incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff who took such great care of him.”
In the aftermath, conversations online quickly shifted toward the gambling allegations rather than his recovery. Instead of focusing on his condition, some people chose to mock him over the rumored addiction.
It’s a complicated situation, and if there’s any truth to those concerns, hopefully ‘Set is able to fully bounce back. One thing is clear, though—he’s not letting misinformation slide and is standing firm against false narratives.
