Diddy is claiming a legal win after a New York judge narrowed the scope of a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him. Just a week after dodging conviction on major federal charges, Justice Leslie Stroh ruled on Tuesday, July 8, to dismiss all claims involving alleged incidents that occurred before December 19, 2000 — the date New York’s Gender-Motivated Violence Act took effect.
The lawsuit, filed by April Lampros in May, included allegations of rape and sexual assault dating back to 1995. However, Diddy’s legal team argued the claims were too old and lacked merit, calling them “baseless.”
This legal victory comes as Diddy faces a fresh lawsuit from an anonymous accuser who alleges the music mogul masturbated into a Biggie shirt and threw it at him in 2020. Diddy’s lawyers fired back, telling TMZ the new claims are “false, heinous, and uncorroborated,” vowing to continue fighting for his full vindication.
