Justin Bieber Has Allegedly Settled Multi-Million Dollar Debt with Scooter Braun

Justin Bieber and former manager Scooter Braun—who officially split in 2023—have reportedly settled their financial dispute.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, insiders say the two have reached an agreement over money Bieber owed Braun. It all traces back to a $40 million advance the pop star received from Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), Live Nation’s parent company, for his 2022 Justice tour. When Bieber cut the tour short, AEG demanded $26 million be returned.

Braun’s company, HYBE, initially stepped in to cover the amount, with Bieber agreeing to repay it in installments. He reportedly only made one payment at first but has since paid off the debt in full.

Back in May, reports claimed Bieber also owed Braun up to $9 million in unpaid commissions, which he’s now also said to have cleared.

Both parties have stayed quiet publicly, with reps declining to comment on the reported settlement. Despite their strained relationship, Braun recently said on The Diary of a CEO podcast that he’s still “rooting for” Bieber, though things between them are “not the same that it was.”

Meanwhile, Bieber is gearing up to drop his seventh studio album, Swag, on Friday (July 11), featuring rumored collabs with Gunna, Sexyy Red, and Cash Cobain. Billboard ads teasing the release have already started popping up in cities like L.A.
