Kim Kardashian is once again shutting down the long-standing rumor that she forgot North West in a Paris hotel lobby—a claim that’s followed her for over a decade.
The moment in question stems from 2014 footage showing Kim stepping out of a Paris hotel alone into a crowd of paparazzi, then returning moments later with a young North, leading some to believe she had forgotten her daughter inside.
In a recent Instagram Stories post, as reported by E! News, Kim cleared the air once more: “I wanted to show off the look before holding her,” she explained, noting that North’s outfit “didn’t match” hers.
“I didn’t forget her!!!!” she added, putting the decade-old speculation to rest once again.
Just to set the record straight, Kim Kardashian has shut down this rumor before—most notably in an October 2014 post on what was then known as Twitter.
“Do u guys really think a 1-year-old would be inside the lobby by herself?” she wrote at the time, sarcastically adding that maybe North was just “waiting to check out” of the hotel.
Just over two months ago, another false claim made the rounds—this time alleging that Ye had sent a cease and desist letter to Kim Kardashian, accusing her of leaving North “unattended in a vehicle” during part of this year’s Met Gala.
The claim was quickly debunked. A rep for Ye told Complex that the lawyer claiming to represent him had never been hired by the Donda artist, and neither Ye nor his team had anything to do with the letter.
