SZA says Nicki Minaj is “going through something” as their exchange carries on—this time with what appears to be texts from Nicki about a feature.
On Wednesday night, the Grand National Tour co-headliner reacted to Nicki’s Met Gala red carpet post on X by calling out the real source of a particular “Feeling Myself” lyric and revisiting a hook request from back in 2020.
“Nicki, you definitely know my music and what I bring to the table—you’ve hit me up for features twice and got no reply,” SZA said, claiming Nicki was spitting her lyrics on “Feeling Myself” back in 2014. She highlighted the line “Cookin’ up that base, lookin’ like a kilo” as her own, ending the post with a calm but pointed “be blessed.”
SZA also dropped a screenshot of what looks like Nicki reaching out to a third party, inquiring about getting the SOS singer on the hook for a track called “Don’t Do.”

SZA is indeed credited as a co-writer on “Feeling Myself,” off Nicki’s The Pinkprint album. In a 2015 Sway’s Universe interview, SZA, who’s been the subject of several swiftly headlined Nicki remarks in recent days, said she had “no idea” how she ended up being involved with the song’s creation.
“Hit-Boy produced [it] and I wrote the lyrics so Nicki and Beyoncé are singing some of the things that I wrote to it,” she said at the time.
