Lady Gaga and her team might need to tighten up on safety as she hits the road for her world tour.
The pop icon launched The Mayhem Ball with a series of shows last week in Las Vegas, but a viral video that surfaced on Monday, July 21, shows Gaga taking a rough tumble while interacting with fans.
In the footage, she’s performing “Vanish into You” from her latest album Mayhem when the unexpected fall happens.
It was clear something slick was on the stage floor—Gaga’s cameraman slipped first, prompting her to steady him before continuing her walk around the base of the stage.
After a few steps forward, Gaga slips slightly herself, and as she rounds the corner, she goes down hard.
But true to form, the ever-professional Gaga bounces back up quickly and powers through “Vanish into You,” a fan-favorite track from her latest album Mayhem. The emotional ballad is one of the final songs on The Mayhem Ball setlist, and despite the tumble, Gaga still managed to close out the show strong.
Luckily, she’s got a day to rest before the tour rolls into its next stop in San Francisco. The Mayhem Ball is scheduled for 63 shows across North America, Australia, Asia, Europe, and the UK.
The tour echoes the energy of her legendary Coachella headlining set, where she debuted several tracks from Mayhem to rave reviews. Fans applauded the performance for blending fresh hits with nostalgic classics.
While it’s still unknown what caused the slippery stage, one thing’s for sure—her team will be double-checking everything moving forward. After all, no Gaga means no show.
