JT has her heart set on forever with Lil Uzi Vert.
In her new Cosmopolitan cover story, the City Girls star opened up about her long-term relationship with the Eternal Atake 2 rapper, revealing that marriage is definitely in the cards.
While she noted, “I’m not married yet,” JT made it clear that the two are planning to tie the knot someday. “We’re definitely going to marry each other,” she said.
“That’s my best friend. That’s my dog. Uzi is such a cool person. We’ve been together since 2019, so we’ve been growing together,” the City Cinderella rapper added.
JT went on to say, “We just look at each other and are like, Damn, we really cool. We really know each other. We really can exist and still like each other.”
She shared that their bond runs “beyond love” and that Uzi often wants her by their side. JT also reflected on how their love story began—right after her release from prison, where she served a year for fraud. At the time, Uzi slid into her DMs, initially reaching out for a collab. JT admitted she didn’t think she stood a chance.
“I was fresh out of jail, I didn’t have my BBL yet—I was just jail thick. Then we just connected right away,” she said. “I was in a halfway house and used to talk to him so much. And when I met him, he was such a good time. It was nothing I never experienced.”
JT didn’t hold back in praising Uzi, calling them a “clean motherfucker” and saying they “carry themselves like a star.”
When it comes to her “dream proposal,” JT made it clear she wants elegance, not chaos. “It cannot be ghetto,” she said. “It cannot be nobody with no ugly outfits. It can’t be nobody standing in the way with too many phones. It needs to be very elegant. I need to have soft glam, short nails,” she added, stressing that the moment should be “aesthetically pleasing.”
She’s also not here for the internet spectacle. JT said she doesn’t want her engagement announced on Instagram or platforms like The Shade Room. “I don’t want that energy. Oh my god, I would die. ‘Uzi proposed to JT,’ and the people come. This is not for y’all,” she said.
JT wrapped it up by saying she wants a low-key reveal like Beyoncé’s. “I want it to be how Beyoncé did it, with a little video of it and the people see it years later. Let’s keep some things to ourselves.”
As for Uzi, they told Complex last year that JT has been a major source of inspiration. “The way that JT inspires me is she gives me the room to have the freedom of my creative space, and she never really judges me on anything that I do,” they shared. “Everything that I do, she’s always for it. She’s very supportive, and really in times in my life, especially times around now, she’s the only person in my life that really supports me and makes sure that I’m mentally okay. That’s the things that people don’t see and I really appreciate it.”
JT and Uzi’s long-teased collab still hasn’t dropped — but fans are keeping an eye out.
