Snoop Dogg completely stole the spotlight when he made an unexpected appearance during the Zac Brown Band’s set in Hollywood on Monday, July 21.
In footage obtained by TMZ, the rap legend casually strolled onto the stage at Desert 5 Spot, rocking his signature shades, a mic in one hand and a blunt in the other, ready to join the party.
The Grammy-winning group was warming up for their upcoming Love & Fear album, performing a string of fan favorites like “Chicken Fried.” But things took a wild turn when they paused to tell the crowd to step back a bit so they could film their next song for a music video.
Cue Snoop, who walked in like only he can — sunglasses on, blunt blazing, and mic in hand. As fans erupted in cheers, he dropped a few bars, clapped along to the beat, and vibed out with the band as they launched into the track.
The song, “Let It Run,” perfectly blends Snoop’s laid-back style with Zac Brown Band’s bluegrass roots — and, of course, a mutual appreciation for weed. According to TMZ, a special table was set up with beer and joints for guests to enjoy, setting the vibe just right for the surprise moment. Fans were reportedly hyped to catch a glimpse of Snoop, who had been chilling backstage before his big entrance.
In a close-up clip, Snoop can be seen holding a golden mic while Zac Brown sings, “If it’s burning kind of funny, we can roll another one,” with the crowd loving every second of it.
Zac Brown Band has a reputation for mixing humor with catchy hooks, and “Let It Run” is no exception. The track dives into smoking etiquette with a lighthearted vibe, reminding everyone not to stress because there’s “more where that came from.” It’s a laid-back anthem that captures the easygoing, smoke-filled energy both Snoop Dogg and ZBB are known for.
Zac Brown Band first unveiled the new single with an Instagram announcement on Friday, July 18.
