Brooke Hogan has shared a heartfelt tribute to her father, Hulk Hogan, following his passing.
On Tuesday, July 29, Brooke took to Instagram to honor the wrestling legend while addressing rumors that they had been estranged. Reflecting on their relationship, the “About Us” singer acknowledged they had their differences at times but emphasized the deep bond they shared and how she sees his qualities living on through her children.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins,” she wrote in a Notes app message shared on Instagram. “I am so grateful I knew the real version of him … We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together. When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him.”
Brooke Hogan continued her emotional tribute by recalling how her father was never afraid of death, instead “speaking of death with such wonder and hope — like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”
She also addressed rumors about her relationship with Hulk, clarifying that there was no deep rift between them.
“We never had a ‘big fight,’” Brooke explained. “My father and I never ‘fought.’ It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know or understand.”
Brooke went on to reveal that her father didn’t want her involved in his medical care, even as he underwent more than 25 surgical procedures.
“It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through,” she wrote. “I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me.”
Speculation about Brooke’s relationship with Hulk began back in 2023 when People reported that she didn’t attend his wedding to third wife Sky Daily. Earlier this year, in March, Brooke’s mother and Hulk’s first wife, Linda Hogan, shared that Brooke hadn’t told the family about her marriage to Steven Olesky or the birth of their twins in January.
Brooke said it was her husband who ultimately helped repair her relationship with Hulk before his death.
“My husband stayed open, quietly reaching out to my dad without me knowing, trying to find a safe way back in for me,” she wrote. “I know in my heart I did everything I could. He knew I would run through a burning building for him.”
Brooke wrapped up her message by expressing her gratitude to everyone who has shown support in the wake of Hulk’s passing.
“I’m deeply grateful for the love, tributes and memorials from his fans and friends,” she wrote. “His life was one worth celebrating — and always will be.”
She followed the statement with a carousel of cherished photos, sharing some of her favorite father-daughter moments with Hulk.
