Alison Brie and Dave Franco were literally inseparable while filming their upcoming body horror movie Together.
Brie stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (July 29) and revealed that she and her husband spent a full 10 hours physically attached during one intense day of shooting.
Brie, who has been married to Franco since 2017, explained that the scene required them to wear a prosthetic that bound their arms together.
“I’m so glad I made this movie with my husband, because, this day, we spent three hours in prosthetics, and then we spent 10 hours connected arm-to-arm on set,” Brie told Fallon, who then shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the couple wearing the prosthetic.
“We’re going to the bathroom together. We’re shooting a scene where poor Dave—I’m sitting on his lap for the whole scene, because, you know, we’re attached,” Alison Brie told Jimmy Fallon. “And this is where it was nice we were married. … We could forgo the politeness you would have with another actor.”
Brie joked that Franco complained she was “killing” his leg in between takes of the kitchen scene, and at one point, she had to “assume some weird yoga pose” just to keep them connected.
“It brought us closer as husband and wife,” she added with a laugh. “Very romantic.”
The couple has carried that quirky energy into promoting their horror film Together. One promotional clip shows Brie and Franco sharing a Wendy’s fry mouth-to-mouth, while another features Brie casually trimming her husband’s toenails in a public park.
