Beloved actress Lindsay Lohan has been living in Dubai since 2014 and doesn’t see herself moving back to the U.S. anytime soon. The 39-year-old star opened up about her decision during a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, explaining why she loves her life in the Middle East.
“It’s far away from Hollywood. And I live a very normal life. There’s no worry of like, I can’t go eat at this place because someone’s gonna take a picture of my son. It’s just… I feel very safe,” the Parent Trap actress shared with Kelly Ripa.
When Ripa asked if there were no photographers in Dubai, Lohan explained, “No, it’s not legal. You can’t take a picture of someone else if you’re in a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here.”
Fans quickly praised Lindsay Lohan for finding a place where she can live a calmer, more private life.
“Alcohol is also illegal there. She literally is so smart because she went to a place that can help her heal and be ‘normal,'” one person wrote.

A sequel to the beloved 2003 Disney classic Freaky Friday, the new movie reunites Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis as Anna and Tess Coleman. Freakier Friday is set to hit theaters on August 8, 2025.
