JT got her payback on Kali Uchis and caught Lil Uzi Vert, Kaytranada, and Gabbriette off guard during a round of prank calls.
The former City Girls star appeared on the August 13 episode of ELLE’s Phoning It In, just months after her “Muñekita” collaborator pulled one over on her. Back in May, Uchis had pretended that a gossip outlet was about to claim JT’s “Muñekita” lyrics were AI-generated.
This time, JT flipped the script, calling Uchis to say someone was planning to sue her for stealing the concept of her latest album, Sincerely. The story was completely made up — but Uchis wasn’t fooled.
“Girl, nobody even shows me mood boards,” the Latin pop singer laughed.
JT told Uchis that the supposed “woman” was furious about being left out of the album concept, even though she was meant to be the “creative director.”
After dragging the prank on for another minute, JT finally admitted it was all a joke. She then moved on to Gabbriette, telling her she’d been invited to be a “bombshell” on Love Island, and to Kaytranada, accusing him of “stealing” a remix instrumental — before making her final call to longtime partner Lil Uzi Vert, asking for bail money.
JT guessed Uzi would curse her out, and they nearly did. The City Cinderella rapper blamed the situation on her niece, Mimi, claiming Mimi had stolen from Lululemon.
“They said it’s child neglect, but I wasn’t in the store at the same time. I just went in there to get them and now they saying I have to go to jail,” JT told Uzi.
An exasperated Uzi agreed to cover the $50,000 bail — but once JT confessed it was all made up, they hung up on her.
“I’m literally laughing so hard and I’m blushing, too, ’cause my man’s supposed to come get me for $50,000,” JT joked.
Uchis, who also prank-called Kaytranada, admitted that when she first rang JT for her own episode, JT thought the ELLE pranks were “fake” and was almost “ready to go off.”
