50 Cent couldn’t help but chime in after hearing that Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly upping his investment in Louisiana through Meta.
“I told yall all roads lead to Shreveport,” the rapper wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, according to HipHopDX.
The TV and entertainment mogul may have pulled the post after reports clarified that Meta’s new data center is planned for Richland Parish, not Shreveport.
Per the Shreveport Times, former President Donald Trump disclosed during a recent cabinet meeting that Meta’s investment in the northeastern Louisiana project has jumped from $10 billion to $50 billion. Trump even showed an image of the proposed Meta AI Data Center superimposed over Manhattan to highlight the scale of the expansion.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry later shared a video of Trump’s remarks, declaring that his state is set to “lead in AI development.”
While the Meta AI Data Center won’t be based in Shreveport, 50 Cent has already made major moves in Louisiana.
Last year, he revealed plans for G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, tagging the announcement with the hashtag #allroadsleadtoshreveport.
After the Shreveport City Council unanimously approved the 30-year lease for G-Unit Studios, 50 Cent visited the city in March to seal the deal.
He reinforced his commitment to Shreveport by unveiling plans for the G-Dome, a temporary venue modeled after Las Vegas’ Sphere. According to the Shreveport Times, construction on a permanent G-Dome is already in progress downtown.
