NBA YoungBoy gives back, donating $50,000 to Dallas anti-crime organizations ahead of his MASA Tour.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again showed love to Dallas after selling out the first two shows of his comeback tour.

The Baton Rouge rapper kicked off his Make America Slime Again (MASA) Tour on Sept. 1 and 2 at the American Airlines Center. But before hitting the stage, on Sunday (Aug. 31), YoungBoy — real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden — donated $50,000 to two local nonprofits: Manifest Freedom, co-founded by his attorney Brittany K. Barnett, and Urban Specialists, an anti-gang violence group.

Speaking with Fox 4 News, YoungBoy said his goal was to “help try to stop the crime.” He added, “You know, a lot of people be getting hurt, so it ain’t really cool at this point to me, so I just want to help in any way I [can].”

Atong Lucky, founder of Urban Specialists, praised YoungBoy’s contribution, saying the donation sends a powerful message nationwide that “redemption and transformation [are] real for these young people.”

“’Cause a lot of them young people find themselves in the shoes of feeling like they’re NBA YoungBoy,” he added.

The MASA Tour marks YoungBoy’s first time performing in five years, following legal troubles tied to firearm possession and obtaining prescription drugs through identity fraud.

Back in May, the 25-year-old received clemency from President Donald Trump after serving 23 months on a federal gun charge.

“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist,” YoungBoy shared in a statement online. “This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
