Willow Smith is once again getting candid on social media, this time likening her struggles with overthinking to the pain of being in labor.
Earlier this week, the 24-year-old singer and daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith took to her Instagram Story to describe what it feels like when her mind gets stuck in an anxiety loop.
“I don’t know about anybody else, but when I’m in a overthinking, anxiety cycle, it be feeling like I’m in labor or something,” she wrote. “My psychological contractions … I’m looking at the clock like, ‘How many minutes in between these contractions?'”
After playfully vocalizing how her thoughts race, she asked her followers: “Anybody else feel that?”
Willow Smith’s latest post sparked mixed reactions, with many fans saying they related to her description of anxiety while others suggested she should experience childbirth before comparing it to contractions. The conversation unfolded under a repost from Neighborhood Talk, where people also shared their own stories about panic attacks.
Just last month, the 24-year-old stirred conversation with another Instagram Story, jokingly asking: “Who ate all the p***y?” alongside a tearful selfie. When critics called her out, Willow clapped back, saying people had missed the humor.
“Y’all nas so dense, y’all forgot funny existed,” she said in a follow-up video. “Y’all nas like molasses—slow. Also sweet, though. Be sweet, too, yeah. But it was funny, shit!”
The NSFW post divided social media, with some questioning if her bold personality stems from her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. The couple also share son Jaden Smith, 27, while Will has his oldest son, Willard “Trey” Smith III, 32, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.
