Cuban violinist duo Tania & Abraham dropped their latest single, “Óshun Yesá,” on Monday alongside the news of their signing with Roc Nation Distribution.
The track, produced by Cool & Dre, features Lil Uzi Vert and can be heard above.
Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez first discovered Tania Gomez and Abraham Rivero at a funeral, later signing them as the label’s first classically trained violinists to release music under its banner.
“Tania and Abraham’s style of music represent voices rarely heard on a global stage,” Perez shared. “When I first heard them playing a funeral, it resonated so strongly with me because it was just so beautiful and powerful. I love the way their sound transforms tradition into timeless music, so it’s truly an honor to bring their art to the forefront and highlight their unique talents.”
Perez enlisted Cool & Dre and Lil Uzi Vert to collaborate with the duo on “Óshun Yesá,” a piece paying homage to Oshún, the Yorùbá goddess of love, fertility, and rivers.
