Cardi B Tapped as the Latest Voice for Train Etiquette Announcements in New York City Subways

Subway riders in New York City will soon be greeted by Cardi B’s voice in new MTA public safety announcements.

In a video shared with the MTA, Cardi revealed a few of her subway etiquette lines, including: “steps are for stepping, not sitting” and “these trains don’t move without you, so make sure you pay that fare and keep it real.”

Before dropping her new album Am I the Drama?, Cardi B hopped on the subway for a playful skit poking fun at “flop era” chatter.

Dressed in a hoodie, sweatpants, and slides, Cardi carried a box of CDs and joked with passengers: “Good evening everybody. I’m out here tryna sell these CDs. I’m trying to change my life around. I used to be a professional ballerina. I’m tryna make a better example for my kids. If you could please buy my new album, Am I the Drama? … $9.99.”

But flop era? Not even close. The album, released Sept. 19, went platinum in just one day thanks in part to hits like her 2020 collab with Megan Thee Stallion, “WAP,” and her 2021 smash “Up,” both Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s.

By Sept. 21, Hits Daily Double projected first-week sales between 125,000 and 150,000 album-equivalent units, with streams topping 100 million.

And then came a world record. Cardi revealed on X that Walmart used drones to deliver her album in Dallas, TX. “I can’t even believe this, my fans have been getting my album from drones,” she wrote.

According to TMZ, she officially broke the Guinness World Record for “most deliveries in one hour,” hitting 176 drone drops.
