At New York’s All Things Go Festival, singer Lola Young stunned the crowd when she suddenly collapsed on stage.
On Saturday (Sept. 27), midway through her performance of “Conceited,” Young fell to the ground, prompting staff to rush out and provide medical assistance. Shortly after, the following act, Remi Wolf, reassured fans that Young was safe and being looked after backstage.
Headliner Doechii took a moment during her set to honor Young, saying, “I want to acknowledge my sister, Lola Young. She’s an incredibly talented artist and she wasn’t feeling well tonight. I’m so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her. Let’s wish her the best, okay, everybody?”
The “Anxiety” rapper then had the audience join in a heartfelt chant: “We love you, Lola!”
After the scare, Lola Young reassured fans through her Instagram Story. “Hi, For anyone who saw my set at all things go today, I am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support Lola xxx,” the “Messy” singer shared.
The collapse followed her last-minute cancellation at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert in New Jersey just a day earlier. Her manager, Nick Shymansky, explained it was due to “a sensitive matter,” adding, “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe.”
Despite the incident, Young is still expected to take the stage at the Maryland stop of All Things Go.
