Young Thug Shares His Favorite Album During Adin Ross Livestream

Young Thug made it clear which of his albums reigns supreme in his eyes.

During a recent livestream with Adin Ross, the Atlanta rapper revealed that his favorite project from his catalog is his 2019 blockbuster So Much Fun.

β€œIt was just the biggest album for me,” Thug said. β€œI felt like I had conquered the world when that album dropped. I didn’t feel that way about any other project. So Much Fun was just, like, so fucking fun.”

Thug admitted that not everyone in his circle agrees with his choice, noting that 21 Savage, for instance, leans more toward Barter 6 and Jeffery.

When it comes to his favorite song, Thug named β€œFamily Don’t Matter,” a standout from his 2017 mixtape Beautiful Thugger Girls. The country-inspired track, featuring Millie Go Lightly, highlighted his fearless creativity and genre-blending approach that pushed Atlanta trap in new directions.

So Much Fun marked a turning point in Thug’s career. Executive produced by J. Cole, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and boasted features from Future, Gunna, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and Machine Gun Kelly. Its biggest hit, β€œHot” featuring Gunna β€” later remixed with Travis Scott β€” became one of Thug’s most iconic records, solidifying his place in mainstream rap.

Beyond its success, the album carried deep personal meaning for Thug. As he told Ross, it captured a moment of pure accomplishment and happiness unlike any other in his journey.

β€œThat was the best time,” he said. β€œThat was the time to be alive for sure.”
