Meek Mill Says He Wants the Same Level of Promo Push D4vd Got for His Album Launch

Meek Mill is questioning who he needs to contact to get the kind of media attention D4vd has been receiving following the tragic death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was discovered in a car registered to the singer.

The rapper reshared an article about D4vd reportedly transferring ownership of his Texas home to his mother and appeared to be commenting on the wave of publicity surrounding the situation — seemingly unaware of the circumstances behind it.

“I need his promo for my album rollout,” Meek wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story, which was captured by Complex and can be seen below. “Who do I call?”

It’s unclear from Meek Mill’s post whether he’s aware of the full situation surrounding the investigation into Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death.

The article Meek shared focused on legal filings that showed D4vd had transferred the deeds of two Texas homes in September. One transfer occurred on Sept. 18 — the same day police responded to a swatting call at his Houston residence after someone falsely reported a woman had been shot there. The second deed was transferred on Sept. 22.

D4vd has remained silent publicly since Hernandez’s body was discovered in a Tesla registered to him back in September. He has since canceled the remaining U.S. stops on his tour as the investigation continues.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, D4vd is not considered a suspect in Hernandez’s death, as her cause and manner of death have yet to be determined.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death,” the LAPD said. “As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”

Late last month, police revealed it was “very likely” that Hernandez had been deceased for “several weeks” before her body was found.

Speculation about D4vd’s connection to Hernandez has continued online, fueled by reports that both share similar “Shhh” tattoos and that the singer had allegedly recorded a song titled “Celeste.”
