Kylie Jenner Drops Her Debut Single, Calls Singing Her “Dream Come True”

Kylie Jenner has officially entered her pop star era with the release of her debut single, “Fourth Strike” — listen below.

This week, The Kardashians star made her comeback as “King Kylie,” a nod to her iconic 2010s beauty era, teaming up with Terror Jr for the track. “Fourth Strike” also coincides with the launch of her new Kylie Cosmetics ‘King Kylie’ collection, set to drop on Saturday (October 18).

After releasing “Fourth Strike,” the reality TV star and beauty mogul sat down with her friend Carter Gregory to talk about the new track. “Well, you know, this is like my dream,” Jenner shared. “Carter, I’ve been talking about this since I came out of the womb. I always wanted to be a pop star.” She admitted, however, that she’d “never had the confidence” to actually go for it before.

“I think turning 28 just changes you,” she continued. “I’m going to be 30 soon, and I don’t want to look back on life with regrets. This is something I’ve always wanted to try. But, you know, I don’t think I’m Adele or anything.”

Gregory shared that it took two recording sessions to bring the song to life — one during a spontaneous night out in an RV and the other in a studio setting.

“I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or more in the right hands,” Jenner said. “I was super nervous at first, but the moment I heard the first line, I thought, ‘Wow, I sound like an angel.’ It was amazing.”

Jenner revealed that she went back to tweak parts of the original recording but described the overall experience as an “amazing learning process.”

Discussing the link between “3 Strikes” and “Fourth Strike,” she noted that Colin Tilley — who directed her “Glosses” ad — was also brought on to direct her new music video.

The beauty mogul even hinted that more music could be on the way. “I had so much fun that I don’t want it to end,” Jenner said. “And honestly, why not? I think we should try. Let’s make an album. And if we’re not feeling it, we’ll just keep it for ourselves.”

Jenner now joins her older sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian Barker in venturing into music. Back in 2011, Kim released her debut single, “Jam (Turn It Up),” and last Christmas, she put her own spin on the holiday classic “Santa Baby.” Meanwhile, Kourtney and her husband, Travis Barker, appeared on Kris Jenner’s 2023 rendition of “Jingle Bells.”
