50 Cent couldn’t resist cracking a joke after Brandy abruptly walked off stage during her Chicago show over the weekend.
The Grammy-winning singer left the stage mid-performance on Saturday (October 18) at the United Center during the third night of The Boy Is Mine Tour with Monica. Though Brandy later shared an explanation for the sudden exit, 50 wasn’t buying it.
In a post shared to Instagram on Monday (October 20), the rapper and entertainment mogul poked fun at the moment, writing alongside a clip of Brandy’s performance, “She just walked off the stage. Ain’t nothing wrong with that mic. She said my stomach upset, gotta go sh!t good night! LOL.”
In a statement following the incident, Brandy explained that she had been dealing with “dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint” during her Chicago performance.
“I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling okay,” she shared. “With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production.”
