Jamie Foxx stepped in to defend GloRilla after someone threw an object at her during a performance.
The incident took place on Friday night (Oct. 24) at SKVLK Fest, a private Halloween bash hosted by the Oscar-winning actor and his 17-year-old daughter, Anelise. The event, held at the Foxx family’s Southern California home, was exclusive to guests between the ages of 14 and 22.
During the night, the 26-year-old “Glorious” rapper hit the stage to perform when what seemed to be a bottle was hurled in her direction.
In clips making rounds online, a visibly angry GloRilla can be heard warning the crowd, “I don’t care how young you is, you can get your ass beat.”
“Who did it? Why would you do some shit like that, goofy ass n***a? Why? Goddamn,” Jamie Foxx shouted, as seen in the circulating clip. “Why would you throw something at the stage, man? This is for free. Man, y’all don’t deserve this shit, bro. That’s messed up. I’m so disappointed … I love y’all but I hate whoever the fuck that was. Fucked the party up.”
He went on, “You throw some shit—and you throw some shit in my house? In my crib? Nah, man, that ain’t cool. That’s not cool, bro. Should we just pull the plug?”
According to footage from the event, GloRilla later returned to the stage and performed fan favorites like “TGIF” and “Yeah Glo!”
Other artists who pulled up for the Halloween party included Tyga, Leon Thomas, and YK Osiris.
Despite the incident, Foxx praised his daughter for pulling off a successful event. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Last night was iconic.. the @skvlkfest was. @anelisefoxx started this Halloween party when she was 13 years old, now she’s 17 and it’s a full-blown festival… proud of you.”
