Billie Eilish and James Cameron Join Forces for a ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ 3D Tour Film

Billie Eilish is headed for the big screen.

On Sunday night (Nov. 23), she revealed that a 3D documentary she co-directed alongside James Cameron is set to premiere in theaters on March 20.

“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on march 20th 2026 !!!! this has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it,” the 23-year-old wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo featuring her alongside the 71-year-old Cameron.

The “Birds of a Feather” singer first teased the project during a sold-out show in Manchester, England earlier this summer.

“So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here,” she told the crowd at the time. “Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

The magazine also shared that the documentary will be released through Paramount and created in partnership with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Lightstorm Entertainment.

Eilish wrapped up the tour in San Francisco on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Cameron — known for iconic films like Titanic and the Terminator franchise — is gearing up for the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, dropping on December 19.
