Disgraced two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey will face trial in London next year over three additional sexual assault claims.
According to the BBC, three men have accused the 66-year-old actor of sexually assaulting them between 2000 and 2013. A provisional trial date has been set for October 12, 2026, at the High Court in London. The cases could be heard together in one trial or as three back-to-back trials. Spacey has denied all allegations.
Spacey first faced public scrutiny in 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of sexual assault. In the weeks that followed, more than ten others came forward, including eight people who worked with him on House of Cards.
One of the men now taking Spacey to court alleges the actor “deliberately assaulted him” 12 times over a five-year span. Another claims he “suffered psychiatric damage and financial loss” after a 2008 assault. Those two accusers are identified as LNP and GHI, while the third man, Ruari Cannon, chose to go public. The legal team representing all three is pushing for a single combined trial.
This development comes shortly after Spacey—who won Oscars for The Usual Suspects and American Beauty—claimed in an interview that he “literally” has “no home” following the foreclosure of his Baltimore property. He later released a video clarifying reports, saying that while he lost his house, he has been staying in hotels and Airbnbs.
“I feel it would be disingenuous to allow you to believe that I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense,” Spacey said, noting that multiple people reached out offering him a place to stay after his interview.
