TikTok star Marquay The Goat has passed away at just 24 years old.
The content creator, whose real name was Marquay Collins, was discovered dead at his Georgia home on Wednesday (Nov. 26). A coroner says his death may be tied to a car accident he was involved in earlier this month on Nov. 7.
TMZ reports that Collins was checked out at a hospital after the crash and released the same day, but he later began experiencing headaches along with neck, shoulder, and spine pain.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan told the outlet that Marquay also mentioned shortness of breath and headaches to his brother shortly before his passing.
While the case is officially labeled as undetermined for now, the coroner reportedly believes the accident was likely connected to his death.
Marquay documented the crash in a TikTok video posted the same day it happened, showing himself on the roadside in Atlanta with an ice pack pressed to his head after a Tesla slammed into the back of his car. His bumper looked completely crushed, while the Tesla was being lifted onto a tow truck.
In the clip, he said, “my head is literally killing me right now,” adding that his head was “banging” and “throbbing so hard.”
Collins’ body is now being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations for an autopsy, and the case is still under investigation.
Marquay’s mother, Sonja, announced her son’s passing in an emotional Facebook post.
“My heart is broken My baby, my last one, my SnuggaBug, my Marquay is no longer here with me,” she wrote, per People. “He was the sweetest person he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. I needed him longer than God allowed me to have him He spoiled me and his Dad, Elzie, he always said because we spoiled him Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, enjoy the rest of your day.”
