Miley Cyrus might be headed down the aisle with her longtime love, Maxx Morando.
On Monday (Dec. 1), the 33-year-old Grammy winner sparked engagement rumors after she was spotted wearing what looked like a diamond ring at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Morando, 27, stood proudly beside her, and by the next day, a source confirmed to People that the pair are officially engaged. Morando — drummer for the rock band Lilly — also co-produced tracks on Cyrus’ ninth album, Something Beautiful.
A rep from Francesca Consulting revealed that Jacquie Aiche crafted the “bespoke” ring, featuring a cushion-cut stone set on a luxurious 14-karat gold band.
The couple were first introduced on a blind date back in 2021, a fun detail Cyrus later shared with British Vogue. Before her relationship with Maxx Morando, Cyrus was married to actor Liam Hemsworth — her co-star in the teen romance The Last Song — in 2018. The two divorced in 2020.
During a June episode of the podcast Sorry We’re Stoned, Cyrus jokingly embraced her “cougar” role in their relationship, pointing out their six-year age gap.
“He’ll be 27 when I turn 33, which I’m so excited for him to turn 27 because that was, again, such a great year for me,” Cyrus said around the 32-minute mark of the episode below. “I’m just hoping that, as long as he follows in my footsteps, everything is gonna be great. That’s right when I started turning my life around.”
