Timothée Chalamet Sends Brazilian Crowd Wild With His Soulja Boy Dance Moves

Timothée Chalamet just proved he’s still got the moves — and Brazilian fans absolutely loved it.

On Friday (Dec. 5), the star of the upcoming film Marty Supreme hit the stage for a panel at CCXP, the massive pop culture convention in São Paulo, Brazil.

While chatting about the movie, Chalamet broke into the iconic dance Soulja Boy created for his 2007 debut hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy).” If you’re too young to remember, the routine took over the world back then and became a full-blown global craze.

Turns out, this isn’t the first time Chalamet dusted off the classic moves. About a year ago, he did the same thing on an episode of The Broski Report, guiding host Brittany Broski through the dance and calling Soulja Boy “a true artist, a groundbreaker, a generational defining talent.”

Watch Chalamet’s “Crank That” moment below — plus a throwback tutorial from SB himself to compare.

During the CCXP panel, Chalamet also opened up about the people who “inspired me to become an actor,” giving special credit to Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio.

“One moment, he’s delivering an award-winning film performance; the next, he’s being that one earnest, goofy-but-cool theater kid everyone knew growing up,” the list reads. “His aura comes from that duality.”
