Peter Greene’s Body Allegedly Discovered With Visible Injuries

Peter Greene passed away earlier this week, and more information has now emerged surrounding the death of the 60-year-old actor.

According to reports, law enforcement sources told TMZ that Greene’s body showed visible injuries when he was found. However, the medical examiner has not yet determined what caused those injuries or officially ruled on the cause of death.

The longtime actor, widely known for playing villains in 1994’s Pulp Fiction and The Mask, was discovered unresponsive on Friday (December 12) inside his Lower East Side apartment after police carried out a welfare check.

TMZ reports that neighbors in Greene’s building complained about loud music coming from his apartment for several days. Building management then contacted authorities, who used a locksmith to enter the unit.

A neighbor told The New York Daily News that Greene “was lying on the floor, facedown” and appeared to have a “facial injury,” adding there was “blood everywhere.” Police have said that foul play is not suspected at this time.

Greene’s longtime manager, Gregg Edwards, shared with The New York Post that he last spoke with the actor on December 10, just two days before Greene was scheduled to undergo surgery to remove a benign tumor near his lung.

“He sounded okay… It was just a totally normal conversation,” Edwards said, noting that he was also preparing for hernia surgery.

“He was a little nervous about the operation going in, but he said it wasn’t super serious. He was talking about that and hoping that I was going to be okay and wishing me well as I was wishing him well. We’re good friends. I love the guy … We were friends for over a decade.”
